Electronic (Using your CalCareer Account) Job Description and Duties Under the direction of the Custody Captain, performs skilled work as a locksmith; installs, repairs, and maintains cylinder and bit key locks, and padlocks; opens locks; changes lock combinations; repairs or replaces tumblers, springs, and other parts; keeps records and inventories keys; performs related, door inspection, doorknobs, and door strikes; orders and stores material for the Lock Shop. Maintains security of working areas and work materials; responsible to maintain the safety of incarcerated people and property. Effective July 1, 2025, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented.
