On Call/Part Time Locksmith Technician

This is a subcontractor position. We are looking for a candidate who has their own work truck, tool kit and a minimum of 2 years of locksmith experience in the following areas to be considered. We will pay a service call per job in addition to hourly wage. Nearly all jobs are commercial accounts.

Job responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain various types of locks and security systems (including specialty hardware for commercial buildings and marine vessels)
• Cut and duplicate residential and commercial keys
• Open locked doors and safes using specialized tools and techniques
• Assess security needs and recommend appropriate solutions
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and send proper check-out reports following work day completion

If your prior experience only covers emergency work (ie: car lock outs, emergency lock outs, etc.) please do not apply. We do not offer this type of service in our company.

Experience:

• Proven experience as a locksmith for 2 or more years or in a similar role
• Knowledge of different types of locks, keys, and security systems
• Familiarity with locksmith tools and equipment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
