Immediately Job Description Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Commercial Locksmith to ensure the physical and electronic security of our facilities. You will install, repair, and maintain advanced locking mechanisms, master key systems, and access control hardware. The ideal candidate is highly skilled, detail-oriented, and capable of responding quickly to emergency lockouts and hardware malfunctions. Responsibilities and Duties

Hardware Installation:

Install, adjust, and repair heavy-duty commercial locks, panic hardware (crash bars), door closers, and ADA-compliant openers.

Access Control:

Program and troubleshoot electronic access control systems, electronic strikes, and keyless entry devices.

Master Keying:

Design, implement, and maintain complex master key hierarchies and key control systems.

Lock Maintenance:

Rekey cylinders, replace worn tumblers, repair broken safes, and extract broken keys from locks.

Key Duplication:

Operate key-cutting machinery to produce precise duplicate keys and manage restricted keyway inventories.

Emergency Response:

Respond to after-hours or on-call emergency lockout situations and security breaches in a timely manner.

Security Assessment:

Evaluate facilities for security vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate hardware or system upgrades.

Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate documentation of key distribution, lock changes, and maintenance logs.

Requirements and Qualifications Experience:

Proven professional experience as a commercial locksmith or in a closely related physical security role.

Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of mechanical locking systems (cylinders, mortise locks) and electronic security hardware.

Tool Proficiency:

Expertise in utilizing hand tools, power tools, pin kits, and electronic diagnostic equipment.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to stand for long periods, frequently bend, and regularly lift/move heavy equipment up to 50 pounds.

Soft Skills:

Excellent problem-solving, communication skills, and the ability to maintain professionalism in stressful situations. Position may be filled at any time.
