In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of security hardware, including locks, keys and safes if able. Your expertise will ensure the safety and security of our clients' facilities by providing expert field service and technical support. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge, electrical experience, and system design skills in a fast-paced environment where your contributions make a real impact on safety and security. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair various lock systems, including mechanical locks, electronic access controls, and high-security locking mechanisms Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete installation and maintenance tasks Read schematics, technical manuals, and construction drawings to accurately implement security system layouts Provide field service support by diagnosing issues remotely or on-site, ensuring minimal downtime for clients Collaborate with clients to recommend security upgrades or new system sales based on their needs and site assessments Experience Proven service technician experience in locksmithing or security system installation with a strong background in mechanical knowledge and electrical systems Familiarity with computer networking, remote access software, telecommunication systems, and system design principles Hands-on experience working with CCTV cameras, sensors, fire alarm systems, alarm systems sales processes, and surveillance equipment Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) standards related to low voltage wiring and electrical safety practices Skilled in using schematics for troubleshooting complex security setups involving low voltage cabling and power tools Ability to interpret technical manuals related to security hardware such as access control panels, IDS components, and CCTV systems Construction experience is a plus for understanding building layouts during installations This role is perfect for those passionate about security technology who thrive in field service environments.
