Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Locksmith Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various locking systems and security devices, lockouts, lock changes, car key makes, ignition changes, etc. Prior experience in locksmithing or related fields is preferred but we will train, along with a valid driver's license, and must pass a background check . Duties Install, repair, and service a wide range of locks, safes, and security systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Diagnose lock issues using specialized tools and techniques, including the use of an ohmmeter for electrical component testing. Re-key locks and provide key duplication services as needed. Conduct security assessments and recommend appropriate lock solutions to clients. Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies. Respond promptly to emergency lockout situations and provide effective solutions efficiently. Skills Proficiency in using tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical testing and troubleshooting. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work with various lock mechanisms and security devices. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics related to lock systems. Good communication skills for interacting with clients professionally. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred. Prior experience in locksmithing or a related technical field is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided if necessary.
