Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Locksmith, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the security and safety of our facilities, clients, and assets. This energetic position involves installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of locking systems, security devices, and electronic access controls. Your mechanical expertise combined with technical skills in security systems will drive your success in delivering top-tier service. Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical locks, electronic access systems, CCTV cameras, sensors, fire alarms, and surveillance equipment across various sites. Conduct routine inspections of security hardware including low voltage wiring, cabling, schematics interpretation, and system design adjustments. Perform field service tasks such as replacing lock cylinders, installing new hardware, and upgrading existing security systems to meet client needs. Configure and manage remote access software for secure entry points and surveillance monitoring. Collaborate with clients to assess security requirements; provide expert advice on alarm system sales and integrated security solutions. Maintain detailed documentation of service activities, system configurations, schematics updates, and incident reports. Ensure all work complies with electrical standards such as NEC (National Electrical Code) regulations and safety protocols. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with proficiency in hand tools and power tools used for lock installation and repair. Experience with computer networking, computer hardware, telecommunication systems, and low voltage electrical wiring. Knowledge of security system components including IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), CCTV surveillance, sensors, fire alarms, and alarm system integration. Ability to read schematics, system design diagrams, and construction plans for seamless installation processes. Familiarity with remote access software for monitoring and troubleshooting security systems remotely. Prior service technician experience in locksmithing or related fields such as construction or electrical work. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly using technical manuals and schematics.
