Job Description
Locksmith Technician We are in need of a skilled Locksmith Technician to join our team in Akron. As a Locksmith Technician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various lock and security systems for our clients. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and repair mechanical and electronic locks
- Create new keys and duplicate existing ones
- Repair or replace damaged locks and key cylinders
- Troubleshoot issues with lock systems and make necessary adjustments
- Recommend security upgrades or enhancements to clients
- Provide emergency lockout services as needed
- Keep accurate records of all work performed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a locksmith or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of lock installation, repair, and maintenance techniques
- Familiarity with different types of locks and security systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Customer service-oriented with good communication skills
