Finance and Administration, Drexel University Job Summary Drexel University Facilities is seeking a qualified candidate to receive, log, and process deliveries to and from the University City Main Campus. This position is listed as a class A Mechanic, whereas part of the position duties includes building maintenance work and maintaining the department's inventory stock. Schedule will be determined upon hiring. Essential Functions Follow daily shipping and receiving procedures and practices. Receive deliveries of materials for university departments while checking for short or damage goods. Utilize tracking bar coding systems. Maintain records of all transactions. Coordinate supplies and inventory of building materials. Preparation of packages for shipping. Assist all employees with acquisition of material and parts. Operate forklift for storage of material. Work with various hand tools. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Minimum of a HS Diploma or GED. Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience Must have a valid Driver's License. Preferred Qualifications Proficient in bar coding software systems and experience with inventory control systems. Able to work in all weather conditions. Physical Demands Typically standing, walking Typically bending, crouching, stooping Lifting demands 50lbs Location University City - Philadelphia, PA Additional Information This is a Full-Time Union position classified as Non-Exempt.
