Block Technician II

Description:

This position is responsible for the Block Department support as listed below for Texas Speed and Performance. Specific Duties and Responsibilities Engine Tear Down Process (Label components and maintain traceability) Visual Inspection of all blocks from start to finish Hone main bores and fit main bearings. Hone cylinder bores Hone Rods and fit rod bearings Prep blocks and visually inspect blocks before machining Prep blocks for engine builds (install cam bearings and plugs) Prep sleeves and block for sleeving (deburr sleeves / heat block in oven) Sleeve Installation Lead Maintains positive working relationship with manufacturing personnel and other staff members to support a positive workplace environment. Responsible for implementing and enforcing industry standard safety procedures throughout the block department. Performs and executes all other duties assigned by direct manager.

Dynamic, high-energy individual with a track record as an effective communicator and uses a collaborative approach to problem solving. Exceptional Mechanical Abilities 2+ Years' Experience using Cylinder Hone and Line Hone Equipment 5+ Years Engine Building Experience Preferred Be able to use Measuring Equipment (Mics, Calipers, Bore Gauge, ect..) Block Technician
