Offered for experienced locksmith and individuals willing to learn how program car keys and cut them. There will be lock outs, lock changes, and re keying locks but mostly focusing on car keys. Keep in mind this role is strictly commission based- starting percentage is 20% and higher once experienced is gained. please be aware that you will need to be willing to invest in your own cutting/programming tools, transportation, and general equipment. There is no license needed. Duties Install, repair, and troubleshoot mechanical locks, electronic access controls, CCTV systems, fire alarms, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and surveillance equipment. Conduct field service visits to client sites for system upgrades, maintenance, and emergency repairs. Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately configure security hardware and cabling setups. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely to perform lock installations and system adjustments. Coordinate with clients to assess security needs and recommend appropriate solutions including alarm system sales and system design enhancements. Perform remote access software configuration and system testing to ensure seamless operation of security networks. Maintain detailed service records, update system documentation, and generate reports on completed work. Qualifications Proven experience as a locksmith or service technician specializing in security systems or electrical installations. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience related to low voltage wiring and cabling. Familiarity with computer networking concepts, telecommunication systems, and remote access software. Knowledge of surveillance technologies such as CCTV cameras, sensors, alarms, fire alarm systems, and IDS. Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately. Hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards for electrical work. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex security system issues efficiently.
