This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with advanced automotive systems, including electronic and mechanical locking mechanisms such as, transponder and proximity keys ensuring customer safety and satisfaction. As an Automotive Locksmith, you'll utilize your technical skills and mechanical knowledge to diagnose, repair, and install lock systems while delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will help keep vehicles secure and customers confident in their automotive security. Responsibilities Install, repair, and service automotive lock systems, including keyless entry, transponder keys, and electronic locking mechanisms Diagnose issues related to vehicle security systems using schematics and automotive diagnostics tools. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and other specialty equipment to perform lock repairs and modifications. Program a variety of vehicles modules with specialized equipment and OE software. Collaborate with service technicians to ensure proper functioning of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) related to vehicle security features. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service experience. Technicians are required to drive to jobs in a mobile work van that is fully equipped with all of the necessary tools and inventory. Work space must be kept clean, organized, and well stocked at all times. Practice safe driving on the roadways. Requirements Proven experience as an automotive locksmith or in a similar automotive service technician role Dealership experience is highly preferred, especially with GM vehicles or similar brands (But not necessary) Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics for troubleshooting complex issues Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, programming equipment, and auto estimating software Knowledge of ADAS technology and its integration with vehicle security systems Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively Valid Texas security license is preferred, but we can help obtain if you meet the requirements.
