Job Description

Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Multi-Site Key and Lock Control Technician (Locksmith) to join our team. This role is responsible for managing the secure issuance, tracking, and recovery of physical keys across facilities in the Taylor area. The technician will oversee all keyed access systems, maintain accurate documentation and inventory, develop and update policies and SOPs, and ensure audit-ready records of user access to guarantee only authorized personnel can enter restricted areas.
Job Description:
Install, adjust, and repair locks and door hardware Collaborate with vendors to install locking systems and establish key management protocols for new projects Manage lock and key control systems at existing sites, including installation, removal, rekeying, and documentation Cut and issue physical keys while maintaining accurate records of all keys, including unassigned keys Update and maintain Key Control Standard Operating Procedures to reflect system changes Respond promptly and professionally to customer requests, both written and verbal Maintain a strong security focus by ensuring compliance with risk management standards and protecting facility assets
Skills Required:
Minimum 2 years of locksmith experience, or equivalent combination of approved training (48-hour course / 600-hour fundamentals) and 1 year of experience Strong understanding of keyed lock systems and key cutting procedures Familiarity with both mechanical and electronic access control systems
Education/Training/Certifications:
