Job Description

We are currently seeking experienced CNC Machinists to set up and operate CNC machinery to fabricate metallic and non-metallic parts. We have openings on day shift and night shift. Day shift hours are Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm Night shift hours are Monday-Thursday, 4:00pm-2:30am Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures. Ability to setup, program, operate and troubleshoot CNC lathes and mills with limited assistance. Ability to reduce setup time and machining through process improvements. Stop machines to remove finished workpieces or to change tooling, setup, or workpiece placement, according to required machining sequences. Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner. Reads and interprets blueprints. Ability to use Renishaw or Marposs machine tool setters to requalify Tool Length Offsets. Ability to use Renishaw part probe and probe routines to qualify CNC machine work coordinates. Recognizes, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures and tooling. Understands and has the ability to perform tool wear offsets. Understand and has the ability to perform adjustments of offsets in CNC controls to manipulate work coordinate system. Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery. Assists in the organization and maintenance of the machine shop work environment. Provides constant feedback and input into process improvement within the department. Utilizes and abides by ISO requirements and safety procedures. Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions. Communicates thoughts and ideas, both verbally and in writing, to co-workers and management. Attends scheduled meetings and actively participates by providing meaningful input. Is flexible with time and schedule to assure availability to customer or company as circumstances warrant. Communicates honestly, professionally and respectfully with others and demonstrates effective listening skills. Other job duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
High School Diploma or GED is required. 5 years of CNC Machine experience and /or training is required. Proficient knowledge of all CNC machine tool controls including FANUC and OSP is required. Proficient knowledge of industry standard G-code programming is required. Proficient knowledge of machining processes on both CNC lathes and mills is required. Technical degree in Machine Technology or related field preferred.
