Job Requirements Experience setting up and operating 5-axis CNC machinery independently Experience editing CNC programs at the control to correct issues and maintain specifications Ability to interpret engineering drawings, route sheets, and work instructions Ability to plan machining approach including tooling/fixtures, operation sequencing, speeds/feeds, and tolerances Ability to compute dimensions and verify part geometry for complex components Proficiency using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, height gauges, etc.) U.S. citizenship with ability to attain and maintain government security clearance Preferred Skills Prototype and R D machining experience from detailed specifications Experience machining metals and plastics across varying alloys and material conditions Experience with broaching, reaming, drilling, milling, and multi-operation part processing on 5-axis platforms Experience troubleshooting machining processes, tooling performance, and program issues at the machine Experience with complex setups, custom fixtures, and multi-axis workholding strategies

Job Responsibilities:

Set up, edit programs, and operate 5-axis CNC machines to mill, drill, punch, broach, and ream metal and plastic parts Perform prototype work and complex, non-routine machining assignments from detailed specifications Adjust programs, tooling offsets, and process parameters to meet dimensional and quality requirements Plan work procedures including piece counts, machine selection, tooling/attachments, speeds/feeds, tolerances, and operation sequence Fabricate and assemble complex production parts and highly complex prototype/R D machined parts Compute mathematical dimensions and machining requirements for complex part geometry Inspect in-process and finished parts using precision measuring instruments and record results per requirements Maintain care of equipment, tooling, parts, machines, and materials to prevent damage Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
