Full Job Description CNC Lathe Set-up Machinist Location:

Full-time Pay:
$30.00/hr-$35.00/hr DOE We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Set-up Machinist to join our growing manufacturing team. The ideal candidate has abrasive experience and hands-on experience with dual-spindle lathes, live tooling, and Mitsubishi controls. Twin turret and Swiss-type machining experience are considered strong assets. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC lathes with live tooling: Independently set up, calibrate, and adjust abrasive machining equipment Run dual-spindle machines (sub-spindle experience required) Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and set up sheets Extreme precision: High level of patience and hand-eye coordination for delicate finishing work Perform tool offsets, wear compensation, and minor program edits
Abrasive Experience:
Able to follow the process, and use, small non metallic tooling to remove material and use tight tolerances and smooth surface finishes
Material Knowledge:
Understanding of how to adjust speeds, feeds, and pressure across various materials like stainless steel Ability to perform machine maintenance: perform routing maintenance on machines such as wheel dressing, coolant management, and clearing debris to ensure optimal performance Inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments such as: micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, to ensure they meet exact tolerances Maintain part quality and meet production schedules by diagnosing and adjusting for issues like wheel wear, surface chatter, or dimensional inaccuracies Follow all safety, quality, and shop procedures Required Qualifications CNC Lathe machining experience in a production environment Live tooling experience (required) Experience with dual-spindle CNC lathes Experience using measuring instruments Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T Experience with Mitsubishi controls Strong attention to detail and quality Abrasive Experience Preferred / Plus Qualifications Twin turret lathe experience Swiss-type lathe experience Multi-axis machining experience Experience in high-precision or regulated manufacturing environments Programming or advanced setup experience What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Stable, full-time employment Clean, well-equipped shop Opportunities for advancement and skill development Supportive team environment focused on quality and professionalism How to Apply Submit your resume or work history on Indeed.
