M-F 2:00pm-10:30pm + 10%

0% Position Summary The CNC Lathe Machinist is responsible for producing precision turned parts by setting up and operating CNC lathes. This role involves independent machine setups, troubleshooting issues as they arise, supporting other machinists, and meeting daily production goals while maintaining high quality under the direction of the Production Manager. Essential Job Functions Set up, operate, and maintain CNC lathes to produce high-quality precision components from blueprints. Perform complete machine setups including workholding, tool selection, and offset adjustments. Troubleshoot common machining problems and make real-time adjustments at the machine. Assist and support other machinists with setups and technical guidance as needed. Work with leads and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and clear shift handoffs. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Solid experience setting up and running CNC lathes. Ability to read blueprints and understand basic GD&T callouts. Comfortable using standard inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and indicators. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to make quick adjustments. Good teamwork and communication skills with a self-motivated attitude. Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 2 years of recent hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC lathes (Haas or Fanuc experience is a plus). Physical Requirements & Work Environment Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and demonstrate good manual dexterity. Work is performed in a clean, climate-controlled machine shop environment with standard safety requirements.
