Phoenix, AZ Job Details Full-time From $27 an hour Benefits Profit sharing Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Tuition reimbursement Paid time off Vision insurance Professional development assistance Life insurance Qualifications Computer operation Finished product defect inspection Computer literacy Dimensional inspection High school diploma or GED Milling machines Semiconductor experience Full Job Description Friendly family-owned Precision Machine Shop is seeking qualified CNC Mill machinists to join our growing team to produce complex machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine while maintaining quality and safety standards and keeping production records.
In House Equipment Includes:
- Okuma (Primary)
- Mori Seiki
- Haas
Mazak Integrex Essential Functions:
Set up and operate 3, 4, and/or 5 Axis CNC Mill machines. Troubleshoot/hand edit programs at machine as necessary. Read and interpret customer's blueprints and specifications to consistently and accurately complete required work. Inspects work for conformance to specification. Verify settings by measuring positions, first articles, and sample work pieces. Operate multiple machines simultaneously. Document all operations by completing travelers/quality logs. Keep a clean work area. Report and/or correct any unsafe conditions immediately and maintains a clean safety record. Perform other duties as assigned. Adheres to international standards. Maintains a consistent attendance and excellent punctuality record.Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
- 5+ years machining experience (preferred) . Salary commensurate with experience.
- Setup experience with VMC (preferred)
- 3-Axis knowledge required; 4 and 5-Axis knowledge preferred.
- Blueprint Reading/ First Article Inspection knowledge/fluent with metric and imperial measurements. . Prior semiconductor and/or aerospace and/or defense experience strongly preferred. . Proficiency with surface plate inspection, measuring tools and GD&T. . Proficiency with machining a variety of materials including aluminum, titanium, stainless steel as well as hard alloys.
- Working knowledge of computers/computer systems and strong problem-solving skills as well as good mathematical skills
- Excellent communication and team-work skills.
- Lift up to 45 lbs. alone; Over 45 lbs. with assistance.
- First shift with regular OT (may vary).
