Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and maintain manual and CNC milling machines to produce precision-machined parts and components. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and specifications to determine machining requirements. Select proper tooling, machine speeds, feeds, and cutting methods based on material and production requirements. Perform precision measurements and quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring instruments. Monitor machining operations and make machine adjustments to ensure dimensional accuracy and product quality. Troubleshoot machining issues, tooling wear, and equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. Maintain accurate production records, inspection documentation, and material tracking information. Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Collaborate with engineering, quality, maintenance, and production teams to support manufacturing goals and continuous improvement initiatives. Assist with preventative maintenance and routine upkeep of machining equipment. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; machining certifications or technical training preferred. 3+ years of experience operating manual and/or CNC milling machines in a manufacturing environment preferred. Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills. Experience holding tight tolerances and machining a variety of materials including steel, aluminum, and alloys. Proficiency using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and safety. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement practices is a plus.
