Baldwin Park, CA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $27.00 - $33.24 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Manufacturing Manufacturing company experience Full Job Description Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Lathe Machinist, where your expertise will drive precision and excellence in machining operations. In this role, you will operate, set up, and program CNC lathes to produce high-quality components that meet strict specifications. Your mechanical knowledge and attention to detail will be essential in ensuring efficient production processes and maintaining the highest standards of quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment and contribute to innovative projects in a fast-paced environment. Duties Operate CNC lathe machines, including Fanuc-controlled systems, to produce complex parts with precision and efficiency Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate machining Program CNC lathes using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and make necessary adjustments for optimal performance Set up tooling, fixtures, and calibration tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for accurate measurements Conduct routine inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances throughout the machining process Perform maintenance on CNC equipment, including electrical discharge machining (EDM) tools and hand tools, ensuring proper operation Follow safety protocols diligently while handling power tools, welding equipment, plastics injection molding components, and other manufacturing machinery Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvements and waste reduction Assist in assembly operations when required, utilizing basic math skills and mechanical knowledge to ensure proper fit and function Experience Proven experience operating CNC lathes or CNC milling machines in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code; experience with Fanuc controls is a plus Familiarity with blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings for precise machining tasks Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM), CAM programming, SolidWorks or CAD software is highly desirable Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine offsets Mechanical aptitude with experience in tooling setup, welding, plastics injection molding processes, or assembly operations is beneficial Ability to work safely with power tools, hand tools, forklift operation certification preferred but not required Join us to be part of a forward-thinking team committed to craftsmanship excellence!
