Job Description

Job Description An aerospace company is looking for a Precision Grinder who will operate precision grinding machines to produce parts according to established blueprint and engineering specifications.
Job Description:
  • Perform setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CNC and manual ID/OD grinding machines
  • Interpret blueprints and engineering specifications, including GD&T requirements
  • Use specialized inspection tools (profilometers, air gauges, laser micrometers, etc.) to verify cylindricity, surface finish, and tolerances
  • Adjust machine settings, offsets, and tooling to maintain precision and process control
  • Dress and modify grinding wheels, tooling, and fixturing as needed
  • Select feeds, speeds, and grinding media to achieve required results
  • Perform in-process inspections and complete required documentation for traceability
  • Troubleshoot complex grinding issues and collaborate with engineering to improve processes
  • Support development of new processes, tooling, and routings
