8:15AM-5:00PM Must be Okay Working Weekends Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Turret Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating turret punch presses and related machinery to accurately cut, shape, and fabricate sheet metal components. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery, and a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes. Your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality parts that meet precise specifications, supporting our commitment to excellence and efficiency. Duties Operate turret punch presses and associated CNC machinery to produce sheet metal components according to detailed blueprints and specifications. Set up, calibrate, and program CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other fabrication equipment to ensure optimal performance. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards to verify dimensions and tolerances. Perform routine maintenance on machinery such as press brakes, stamping presses, plasma cutters, electrical discharge machines (EDM), and other fabrication tools. Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, micrometer gauges, and precision measuring instruments to verify part accuracy. Utilize hand tools and fabrication equipment for assembly, tooling adjustments, and minor repairs as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols involving cranes, forklifts, and other lifting devices. Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes. Requirements Proven experience operating turret punch presses along with CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, EDM, press brakes, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or stamping presses. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Proficiency in CNC programming and setup procedures for various fabrication equipment. Familiarity with GD&T standards for precise measurement and quality control. Skilled in the use of hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments. Knowledge of welding techniques and sheet metal fabrication processes. Ability to work safely with cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery in a manufacturing environment. Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations related to machining tolerances, and process adjustments. Prior experience in manufacturing or machining environments is highly desirable.
