Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various machine tools to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical principles, proficiency with CNC machinery, and the ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will contribute to our commitment to manufacturing excellence by ensuring that all parts are produced efficiently, accurately, and safely. Duties Operate CNC lathes, milling machines, and other machining equipment such as CNC programming and Fanuc controls to produce precision parts. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and CAD/CAM files to ensure accurate fabrication. Set up machines with appropriate tooling, fixtures, and calibration instruments including bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines. Program CNC machines using CAM software and verify programs for accuracy before production runs. Perform precision measurements using various tools such as dial indicators, micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to ensure parts meet specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety standards; operate hand tools and power tools for assembly or finishing tasks. Conduct routine maintenance on machinery including electrical discharge machining (EDM) equipment and CNC systems. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying process improvements to reduce waste and increase efficiency. Assist in the setup and operation of plastics injection molding equipment when necessary. Collaborate with engineering teams on tooling design, fixture setup, and troubleshooting machining issues. Use welding techniques when required for component assembly or repair. Operate forklifts safely for material handling within the manufacturing area. Skills Proven experience with CNC programming and operation on CNC lathe and milling machines. Strong understanding of GD&T principles for precise measurement and quality control.
