Full Job Description CNC Lathe Machinist Location:

Garden Grove, CA 1st /2nd Shift available!!

Pay Range:

$23 - $29 per hour

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills according to blueprints, specifications, manufacturing orders, and work instructions. Select and prepare materials, tool holders, and tooling; modify tooling as needed to meet part specifications. Maintain accurate part dimensions using micrometers, calipers, comparators, and gauges. Inspect parts during and after production to verify conformance. Replace and align dull or broken cutting tools. Assist with continuous improvement strategies to reduce setup and cycle times. Troubleshoot machine operations and programming issues for quality improvement. Document machine status, tool changes, and maintenance issues in logbooks and during shift turnover meetings. Perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) checks and act according to results. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Qualifications Education:

High School Diploma or GED (Technical schooling preferred)

Experience:

Minimum 3+ years combined technical education and CNC machining experience; advanced CNC operation knowledge preferred.

Skills:

Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation. Strong understanding of CNC programming (G-Code) and controls. Ability to work to close tolerances. Familiarity with shop tools, SPC data acquisition, and shop floor systems.

Certifications:

Advanced CNC Machining certification preferred.

Pay:

$24.00 - $30.00 per hour
