F-35 and V-22. Military aviation platform experience is a plus. Duties Set up and operate all types of conventional machines, computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines and related equipment in the manufacture, rework, and repair of aircraft parts and components. Set up and perform machining operations on conventional and CNC machine tools such as grinders, milling machines, lathes, and drills. Read and understand blueprints, drawings, sketches, work documents, aircraft technical documents, manuals, bulletins, and directives; produce assigned work in accordance with established standards Other duties as assigned Education/Experience Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 4 years of aircraft machining experience preferred Must have experience on 2, 3, 4 and 5 axis machining centers Must be able to read, understand and interpret blueprints, drawing, sketches, work documents etc. Experience in heavy structure U.S. Military or related FAA or civil aviation Must have Military installation DEPOT level maintenance experience Up to 25% travel may be required Must be a US Citizen Must be able to pass a NACI which could include a credit check We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing. Duties With oversight, assist in disassembly, repair, rework and installation of various systems and components such as wings, control surfaces, control systems, landing gear, arresting gear, fuel cells, instrumentation, and engines. Assist with installing hydraulic tubing, actuating cylinders, and cable controls. Assist in rigging, adjustment and tests on various flight systems including landing gear, flight controls, instruments, oxygen/ environmental systems and power plants. Assist in the installation of fuel system components to include self-sealing fuel cells and assist with the preservation or depreservation of aircraft or aircraft components. Duties Perform a full range of aircraft sheet metal duties including, but not limited to, disassemble, modify, repair, and reassemble complex aircraft metal items and systems, e.g., bulkheads, airframes, spars, air scoops, wings, flaps, pylons, sponsons, fuselages, skins, ribs, gussets and fuel tanks. These items and systems have combined straight and curved edges and irregular curves and planes Analyze and evaluate structural damage to metal systems and items; develop patterns using a combination of parallel and radial line development; fabricate, install, and repair a variety of items and systems made from a wide variety of metals, e.g., stainless steel, copper sheet, magnesium, honeycomb, alloys, aluminum; replace sections and patch old systems; cut, bend, shape, and form metals for items that have numerous irregular angles, planes, and curves with varying pitch and circumference; use a variety of assembly joints, complex fastening systems, riveted or welded joints, drill or punch holes; and assemble or repair items by seaming, bolting, screwing, riveting, tacking. Assembly methods shall meet appearance and strength standards, as well as critical tolerances.
