JOB SUMMARY
The CNC Machinist II independently operates CNC equipment and performs basic machine setups while producing quality parts that meet customer and engineering requirements. You will be part of a Manufacturing team dedicated to maintaining high-quality output and ensuring overall customer satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Independently operate CNC lathe and/or mill machines. Perform routine machine setups and changeovers. Interpret blueprints and work instructions. Perform first-piece and in-process inspections. Troubleshoot basic machining issues. Adjust offsets and tooling as required. Maintain material traceability and production records. Support continuous improvement initiatives. Assist in training CNC Machinist I team members. Support responsibilities from the CNC Machinist I role, as needed. Perform other manufacturing-machining duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING TO UPC
Required High school diploma or GED required. 2 years or more of CNC machining experience. Intermediate blueprint reading. Intermediate experience using precision measuring equipment. Ability to work independently, strong work ethic and ownership mindset, solid understanding of machining principles, and commitment to producing quality parts. Preferred Trade school certification in machining. Aerospace and/or defense manufacturing experience. Experience with ERP/MRP systems.

A team member must meet the physical demands described here to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed on-site in an office/warehouse environment, with frequent interruptions and schedule variances due to business needs. No special coordination beyond those used for normal mobility, handling of everyday objects and materials, and use of office equipment is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily.
