CNC Machinist

Job Summary Mulgrew Aircraft Components specializes in the machining and forming of long, narrow aluminum extrusions such as seat tracks, chords, stringers, spars, longerons, beams and braces up to 40 ft. in length.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective Perform basic set-up and operate various 3-axis, 5-axis is a plus. Understands set-up and fixture-to-machine fundamentals. Will work from simple to complex written instructions and drawings. Will perform dimensional inspections as required and record findings. Performs set-up on various 3-axis and 5-Axis CNC milling machines, under supervision of a lead. Knowledge of 5 Axis CNC is a plus. Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. Assists with preventative maintenance on machines as required. Must be able to perform with assistance: milling, drilling, taping, de-burring, all bench operations and inspect. Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up. (production type) Required Education and Experience Minimum of 5 Years of CNC Machinist experience/training combined Machinist training or certification a plus. Work Environment The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. Overtime is available based on machine loads and invitation.
