Job Title:
Manual Machinist Job Description We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team and contribute to our manufacturing processes by setting up and operating machinery, performing inspections, and ensuring quality standards are met. Responsibilities Set-up and run all facets of assigned work, ensuring efficient operation of machinery. Spot check production parts using calipers and micrometers according to blueprint specifications. Monitor machine operation and report any malfunctions to the supervisor promptly. Monitor tool performance through in-process quality checklists to ensure optimal functionality. Ensure company procedures and best machine practices are always followed and in place. Perform additional related duties as assigned to support team objectives. Essential Skills Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Manual Lathe, Mill, and Surface Grinder operations. Proficiency in using shop tools such as micrometers, depth gages, calipers, and indicators. Strong production and safety knowledge is essential. Ability to work effectively in a team environment with goal-oriented planning. Analytical skills with strong problem-solving abilities. Expertise in manual machining operations. Additional Skills & Qualifications CNC experience is a plus. Familiarity with blueprint reading and inspection of parts. Experience operating drill presses, lathes, mills, and surface grinders. Expect a collaborative atmosphere where precision and safety are prioritized. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morgan Hill, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
