Job Description

Job Title:
CNC Mill Machinist Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist with experience in performing changeovers and short runs on Vertical Mills. You must be proficient in programming G&M code, performing set-ups, and changing tooling, particularly when working with aluminum and stainless materials. The primary role involves setting up programs and tool changes on the Mills for Operators to run. Responsibilities Set up jobs to meet production schedules. Ensure job set-up meets quality requirements by producing acceptable first article runs. Run special tasks as assigned. Make unassisted machine adjustments or offsets. Create fixtures and speed-up jobs by making adjustments to programs. Assist with machine breakdowns and repairs by troubleshooting. Communicate with production manager and scheduling for planning. Operate machines and assist with QC duties as needed by creating check sheets. Assist with training new set-up personnel by shadowing, suggesting, and improving processes. Monitor new tooling to ensure proper speeds and feeds are used. Follow through with repairs to completion, and find alternatives if repairs cannot be made. Essential Skills Proficiency in programming G&M code. Experience with Fanuc, Celos, G-code, and Mastercam. Ability to make unassisted machine adjustments and offsets. 3+ years of experience in a job shop environment with set-up experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Formal education or trade school experience is desirable but can be substituted with job shop experience. Capability to lift 25 lbs. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oceanside, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
