Job Title:
Deburrer Job Description The Deburrer performs basic deburring and finishing of small machined parts using hand-held polishing tools, ensuring clean, smooth, and high-quality components. This role also supports packaging activities and assists with general machine shop tasks as needed while working primarily at a bench for the full shift. Responsibilities Perform basic deburring of small machined parts using hand-held polishing tools to remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections. Deburr aluminum machined parts with consistent quality and attention to detail in a repetitive production environment. Polish and grind parts as required to meet specified finish and dimensional standards. Use measurement tools to verify part accuracy and ensure parts meet required specifications. Package finished parts as needed, following established procedures to protect parts during storage and shipment. Sit at a bench for the majority of the workday while performing deburring and related tasks. Assist with various machine shop tasks as needed to support overall production and workflow. Maintain a clean and organized work area, keeping tools and materials in proper condition. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when using hand tools and working in the machine shop. Essential Skills Hands-on experience with deburring small machined parts using hand-held polishing tools. Ability to deburr aluminum machined parts in a repetitive, production-oriented environment. Proficiency with basic polishing and grinding techniques for metal components. Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and consistent quality. Comfort working while seated at a bench for extended periods. Basic measurement skills to check part dimensions and quality. Attention to detail and ability to identify and correct surface imperfections. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a machine shop setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in an assembly, assembler, or machine operator role. Working in a machine shop or manufacturing environment. Familiarity with standard hand tools and shop equipment used for deburring, polishing, and grinding. Strong work ethic and reliability in performing repetitive tasks. Willingness to assist with a variety of shop tasks beyond primary deburring duties. Why Work Here? The setting is industrial, with typical shop noise and activity, and you will follow standard safety practices and wear appropriate protective equipment as required by the facility. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oceanside, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
