Position Summary We are seeking an experienced CNC Mill Setup Operator to set up and operate Brother and Fadal CNC Milling Centers in a high-mix, low-volume job shop environment. This position requires daily setups, attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently produce tight-tolerance metal components while meeting production and quality standards. Responsibilities Set up and operate 3-axis CNC milling machines Install and adjust tooling, fixtures, clamps, and soft jaws Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and sketches Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary program edits Change tooling and optimize programs for efficiency and cycle time improvements Perform first article and in-process inspections Maintain quality standards and take ownership of your work Qualifications Minimum 5 years of CNC mill setup experience Strong experience with 3-axis CNC milling machines Ability to independently set up jobs from prints and programs Proficient with precision measuring equipment Knowledge of cutting tools, workholding, and machining practices Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading Ability to work in a fast-paced job shop environment Experience with Brother and/or Fadal CNC mills is a plus #
