This role is responsible for independently setting up, programming, and operating CNC milling machines to manufacture precision aerospace components, tooling, fixtures, and prototype hardware while maintaining strict quality and tolerance requirements.
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC milling machines. Program and modify CNC programs using Mastercam (MCAM) or similar software. Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications. Perform machine setups, tooling selection, offsets, and first article inspections. Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment. Support quality control activities and prepare parts for CMM inspection. Troubleshoot machining issues and implement process improvements. Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED. Experience operating 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC milling machines. CNC programming experience with Mastercam (MCAM). Strong blueprint reading and machining setup experience. Experience using precision measuring and inspection tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of CNC machining experience. Experience with CNC lathes and live tooling. Experience with SNK 5-axis gantry machines. Wire EDM experience. Aerospace, defense, tooling, or prototype manufacturing experience.
Pay:
