6 months Roles & Responsibilities

) Sets up and operates plain, universal, horizontal, and vertical milling machines to perform complex machining operations.
) Performs machining tasks such as compound angles and contours, boring compound angular holes, helical and spiral milling, serrating, and gear, spline, and keyway cutting to exact tolerances.
) Selects, mounts, and aligns specialized machine attachments and tooling.
) Plans sequence of operations, determines setups, and adjusts speeds, feeds, and depth of cut.
) Interprets blueprints, engineering drawings, sketches, and specifications.
) Uses precision measuring instruments and machinist hand tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
) Performs layout work, marks reference points, and prepares stock for machining operations.
) Conducts in-process inspections and supports quality verification procedures.
) Develops CNC programs, sets up machines, and runs complete machining operations with minimal supervision.

Basic Qualifications:

) Minimum 10+ years of machining experience operating CNC mills and lathes.
) Experience with 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
) Experience with CNC lathes utilizing live tooling.
) Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
) Experience with Mastercam (MCAM) programming.
) Proficiency in measurement, inspection, and precision machining techniques.
) Ability to independently program, set up, and operate CNC machines.
) High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:

) Performs in-process and pre-inspection quality checks prior to CMM inspection.
) Experienced with true 5-axis gantry machines (SNK) and wire EDM operations.
