In this role, you will be responsible for operating turret punch presses and related machinery to produce precision sheet metal components. Your expertise will ensure high-quality fabrication, efficient production workflows, and adherence to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment and contribute to the creation of top-tier products in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Operate turret punch presses, CNC laser cutting machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other fabrication equipment to produce accurate metal parts. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure precise manufacturing. Set up and program CNC machines using appropriate software, ensuring correct tooling, parameters, and safety measures are in place. Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, precision measuring instruments, and visual checks to verify dimensional accuracy and surface finish. Perform routine maintenance on machinery including press brakes, stamping presses, plasma cutters, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and other tools to maintain optimal performance. Utilize hand tools and fabrication techniques for assembly, tooling adjustments, and minor repairs as needed. Follow safety protocols diligently when operating cranes, forklifts, or handling sheet metal and other materials in the production area. Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as laser cutters, milling machines, lathes, or stamping presses in a manufacturing setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately. Skilled in using measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, and other precision instruments for quality inspection. Familiarity with GD&T principles to ensure parts meet strict tolerances. Ability to operate hand tools and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently. Basic math skills for calculating dimensions and machine settings. Experience with welding or sheet metal fabrication is a plus but not mandatory. Valid certification or training in forklift operation is preferred; experience with cranes is advantageous.
