Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist - II to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This is specifically for
SWING SHIFT
2pm- 10:30pm. In this role, you will operate, set up, and program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision-engineered components. Your expertise will ensure the highest quality standards are met while maintaining efficient production workflows. This position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced machinists eager to contribute to innovative manufacturing processes and advance their technical skills in a fast-paced environment. Duties Operate CNC lathes and milling machines using Fanuc controls, ensuring precise execution of complex machining tasks Develop and modify CNC programs utilizing CAM programming software to optimize machining processes Read and interpret detailed blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and technical drawings to produce accurate parts Perform machine setups, calibrations, and tool changes efficiently using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments Conduct routine inspections of machined components with coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and precision gauges to verify conformance to specifications Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols including proper use of power tools, welding equipment, and tooling Support continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing practices and plastics injection molding processes Skills Extensive experience with CNC programming, particularly with Fanuc controls and CAM software Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical drawings Proficiency in operating CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with a focus on precision machining Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques for complex part fabrication Solid understanding of CAD software such as SolidWorks and general CAD principles for part design interpretation Mechanical aptitude with experience in tooling setup, assembly, welding, and the use of hand tools and power tools Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for machining tolerances and measurements Knowledge of manufacturing environments including plastics injection molding processes and lean manufacturing principles Experience with precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) Ability to operate forklifts safely when required for material handling Join our team as a CNC Machinist - II if you're passionate about precision engineering, eager to develop your skills in advanced manufacturing techniques, and ready to contribute to high-quality production standards.
