Job Title:

Deburrer Job Description As a Deburrer, you will play a crucial role in refining various metal parts. Your primary task will involve using stationary abrasive wheels, handheld rotary air tools, and hand scraping devices to deburr metal components. You will apply abrasives to remove sharp edges left as a byproduct of machining, ensuring that all parts meet the specified blueprint specifications. Additionally, you will operate drill presses with wire brushes and conical burr cutters, clean parts using solvents, and maintain a clean work environment. Responsibilities Deburr metal parts using stationary abrasive wheels and handheld tools. Apply abrasives to remove sharp edges from machined parts. Inspect critical dimensions to ensure adherence to blueprint specifications. Operate drill presses with wire brushes and conical burr cutters. Clean parts with solvents as necessary. Operate various deburring equipment. Check critical dimensions with precision up to +/- .0002. Maintain cleanliness of work areas including benches, shelves, walls, and floors. Contribute to lean process improvement ideas. Maintain OCP certification (certified operator program). Essential Skills High School diploma or GED. Up to one month of related experience or training. Proficiency in English for reading and writing. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Problem-solving skills with the ability to apply common sense understanding. Additional Skills & Qualifications Basic knowledge of windows/internet browsers. Experience with ERP/Inventory systems. The role requires maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including cleaning work areas and equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Valencia, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
