We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will independently set up, program, and operate CNC machines to produce complex, high-tolerance parts. You will interpret blueprints, perform rigorous quality inspections, and ensure all production targets are met safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities Programming & Setup:
Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs (G-code/M-code). Set up, adjust, and fixture mills and lathes to strict specifications.
Blueprint Reading:
Analyze complex engineering drawings, CAD models, and work orders to determine the optimal machining sequence.
Machining & Monitoring:
Load raw materials, monitor feeds and speeds, and observe machine operations to ensure quality cutting and shaping.
Maintenance:
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure peak operating performance.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve tooling, programming, or mechanical errors to minimize downtime.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Minimum of 1-3 years of hands-on experience as a CNC Machinist, Programmer, or Setup Operator.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with controls such as [e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Okuma].
Math & Geometry:
Strong working knowledge of shop math, trigonometry, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Trade/vocational school certification or completion of a recognized apprenticeship is preferred.
