CNC Mill Machinist Job Description We are seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist for our machine shop located in Santa Fe Springs, CA. This role involves working primarily with mill machines and offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and innovative team. Responsibilities Communicate effectively with leadsman and machinists before starting work. Ensure safety and provide guidance for all employees. Report any issues to the Operations Manager promptly. Implement innovative solutions to reduce waste in machining processes. Adhere to QMS procedures and work instructions. Essential Skills Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience. Proficient in using hand tools such as wrenches. Ability to read blueprints and comprehend GD & T. Experience in measuring parts and using measuring tools. Understanding of G-code and tool wear conditions. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to perform job set-ups independently is a plus. Excellent shop math skills are a plus. Computer literacy is a plus. Previous experience in a machine shop environment. Strong blueprint and schematics reading skills. Experience with off-sets and changeovers. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Work Environment Work in a state-of-the-art machine shop with over 50 CNC machines. Our facility operates on two shifts: 1st Shift (7:00 am
- 3:30 pm) and 2nd Shift (3:00 pm
- 11:30 pm), with initial training on the 1st shift. Be part of a team that manufactures parts for jet fighters, commercial airplanes, satellites, and more, including some military applications. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Fe Springs, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00
