Job Description Insight Global is seeking experienced CNC Machinists to support high‑volume production of large aerospace and defense components for our customer at their South El Monte, CA and Corona, CA facilities. This role is focused on machine setup, cutter changes, job monitoring, and maintaining machine health to support long running production jobs. The majority of work is 3‑axis machining, with 5‑axis experience strongly preferred to provide operational flexibility. These roles are not complex CNC programming positions success is driven by reliability, setup capability, attention to detail, and the ability to keep machines running safely and efficiently across extended shifts. Key Responsibilities
- Set up CNC machines including fixtures, tooling, and cutters
- Change cutters and tools as needed to support production runs
- Operate CNC machines efficiently and safely according to work instructions
- Monitor jobs and machine health during long‑duration runs (multi‑day jobs)
- Coordinate with NC Programmers to support setups and minimize downtime
- Work with management to prioritize machine schedules and customer demand
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform basic machine upkeep

- Experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of: ○ Machine setup procedures ○ Tooling and cutter changes ○ Blueprint interpretation
- Ability to independently monitor jobs and respond to machine or process issues
- Working knowledge of CNC controls such as Siemens 840D and Fanuc 31i preferred
- Detail‑oriented, reliable, and able to work within structured production processes Willingness to work 2nd shift, night shift, and/or weekends as required
Physical Requirements:
- Standing, walking, and machine operation for 8+ hours per shift
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs (typical lifts closer to 35 lbs)
- Repetitive hand and arm motion
- Visual acuity for close work and blueprint reading Ability to work extended shifts as needed
