Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Lathe Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and program CNC lathes to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in machining, blueprint reading, and technical troubleshooting will be essential in ensuring efficient production processes. Duties Set up and operate CNC lathe machines, including Fanuc-controlled equipment, ensuring accurate production according to detailed blueprints and specifications Program CNC lathes using CNC programming languages and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to optimize machining processes Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical specifications to produce high-quality parts Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision instruments to verify dimensions Conduct routine machine maintenance, tool changes, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maintain optimal machine performance Utilize hand tools, power tools, and tooling equipment for assembly, deburring, and finishing of machined parts Maintain detailed documentation of production runs, inspection reports, and quality control records in compliance with manufacturing standards Requirements Proven experience operating CNC lathe machines with a strong understanding of CNC programming and setup procedures Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T symbols, and mechanical schematics Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) accurately Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling management Basic math skills for calculations related to machining tolerances and dimensions Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team Join us in producing high-quality components through innovative machining techniques!
