Competitive Salary + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits We are seeking an experienced CNC Small Parts Setup Lathe Machinist to join our aerospace manufacturing team in Meriden, CT. This role is responsible for independently setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC lathes to produce high-precision aerospace components with tight tolerances and strict quality requirements. The ideal candidate has strong CNC lathe setup experience in a precision manufacturing environment, with the ability to machine small, complex aerospace components from materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, and other specialty alloys. Key Responsibilities Perform complete setup and operation of CNC lathes (2-axis and multi-axis as applicable). Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements. Select and set up tooling, fixtures, collets, chucks, and machine offsets. Produce precision aerospace turned components to tight tolerances. Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring tools. Make offset adjustments and minor program edits to maintain quality and dimensional accuracy. Monitor tool wear and machining conditions to ensure efficiency and consistency. Troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup, and program issues. Ensure compliance with AS9100 aerospace quality standards and customer requirements. Maintain accurate production records, inspection reports, and documentation. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
