Production Supervisor Responsibilities:

Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes and milling machinesWork from blueprints, engineering instructions, specifications, and blueprintsMeasure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers.

Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized tools in order to perform precision machining operationsAlign and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machinesSelect appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in the preparation of machine workCheck part to ensure that they are properly lubricated and cooledOperate equipment to verify operational efficiencyClean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment in order to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign matterMaintain records and documents in-process inspection data as requiredReport faulty or unusual conditions to the appropriate level of supervisionAble to measure using standard shop tools, machine tools, and engineered gaging to close established tolerancesAdhere to standards of safety and housekeeping standardsPerforms other related duties or responsibilities as requested or required, whether or not specifically mentioned in this job description.

Physical Demands / Work Capacity EvaluationThe essential functions of this position may vary based on specific assignments, work locations, and operational needs. Required Qualifications:
Must be a US Person as defined by US Government and able to work without restriction with ITAR related data.

High school diploma or GED required.

Basic reading, writing, and some advanced arithmetic skills.

Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English at a functional level.

Ability to read and understand engineering work instructionsSome ability to set up and operate CNC turning and milling machines.

Basic knowledge of appropriate speeds and feeds for materials and tools.

Working knowledge of Machine codes, G codes
