Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
James Manufacturing is seeking a 2nd shift CNC Swiss operator. Ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years' experience operating CNC Swiss machines such as Star, Tsugami or Citizen. Must be able to work in a team environment and possess strong communication skills. Experience working in
ISO9000/AS9100
fast paced detailed oriented environment a plus.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate CNC Swiss machine to include loading of tooling, managing offsets and tool counts and loading of bar feeding systems. Execute on job documents to meet quality, schedule and production requirements while taking responsibility for your work. Working safely while maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Measure and examine completed components to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications using calibrated instruments and gages. Completing all quality documentation and inspection reports. Communicates with management, quality and other shop personnel for work assignments and to resolve production or quality issues. Clean and prepare machines and equipment for next set up when jobs are complete. Maintain equipment ensuring lubricants, filters, screens and chip collectors are at proper levels and clear.
SKILL & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Strong mechanical aptitude, critical thinking, and problem solving skills. Understanding basic material properties, feeds and speeds, tool changing and offsets. Strong understanding in blueprint reading and tolerances. Knowledge and application of precision measurement instruments. Adhere to safety procedures and policies and correct unsafe conditions. Effectively work with others in a team environment, ensuring quality work while meeting schedules. Good machining practices, be able to detect when a process, machine or system deviates, then to troubleshoot to fix the root cause or escalate to engineering. Have good attendance, follow directions and make recommendations for improvement.
Pay:
$22.50 - $28.50 per hour
