Job Description
Qualifications Required:
At least five (5) years of experience. Demonstrated proficiency in modern manufacturing techniques such as CNC milling and turning operations (Haas and Tormach), and additive and subtractive manufacturing. Ability to read and interpret CAD technical drawings. Experience using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers), computer numerical control (CNC) equipment, and computer-aided design (CAD) software (e.g., SolidWorks). Daily operation and maintenance of equipment in a machine shop. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. U.S. Citizenship is required.Desired:
Experience assessing the feasibility of in-house manufacturing vs. outsourcing and interfacing with outside manufacturing vendors (face-to-face meetings, CAD models). Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to document work performed and report results in technical reports and sponsor presentations. Experience overseeing shop users, including safety training and proficiency assessment.Security Clearance:
Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
