Job Description
Machinist 1088 US Highway 92 W, Auburndale, FL 33823 $24

Full-time Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments
- Read blueprints, sketches, or computer-aided design (CAD) files to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces
- Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications
- Adjust machine controls and change tool settings to keep dimensions within specified tolerances
- Use precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to inspect finished parts
- Assemble, fit, and install machined parts into complete units, using hand tools and power tools
- Verify dimensions of machined parts using precision measuring instruments
- Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines as needed
Skills:
- Proficiency in operating a variety of machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses
- Knowledge of tooling and cutting tools used in machining processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or CAD files
- Experience with Fanuc controls is preferred
