This is a temp-to-hire position offering long-term potential for candidates who demonstrate strong attendance, performance, and reliability. The role requires hands-on experience operating a variety of machine tools, including lathes, knee mills, bore mills, and horizontal mills with capacities up to 100 inches in size/swing. Candidates must be safety-conscious, dependable, and willing to assist with other shop duties as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Set up and operate manual and/or conventional lathes, knee mills, bore mills, and horizontal mills Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions Perform precision machining operations while maintaining quality standards Use measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances Assist with general shop operations and support other departments as needed Maintain a clean and safe work environment Follow all company safety policies and procedures

SCHEDULE

Candidates must be willing to work 10-12 hour shifts, up to 7 days per week 1st

4:00 PM 10-12 hour shifts Up to 7 days per week Previous machinist experience required Experience operating lathes, knee mills, bore mills, and horizontal mills preferred Ability to accurately use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and related equipment Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Must be reliable, flexible, and willing to perform additional shop duties beyond primary machinist responsibilities
