Full-time Description:
General MRO Aerospace (GMA) is a globally recognized FAA 145 Repair Station that specializes in maintenance and repairs of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, fuel and electromechanical aircraft components. We are looking for an experienced, motivated team player and result-driven Machinist. If you have what it takes to perform this job, then we want you in our team!
Essential Duties:
Review samples, drawings or instructions to understand specifications. Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping. Select appropriate machines (e.g. lathes, Mills) and position or load material for a job. Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify issues. Monitor output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects. Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages.

Experience, Skills and Qualification:
Experience:
Knowledge of metal properties and other material. Experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (lathes, grinders etc.) Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
Skills:
Great verbal and written communication skills. Outstanding mathematical skills and analytical abilities. Excellent manual dexterity, accuracy and attention to detail. Physical stamina and strength to be able to lift heavy items up to 50 pounds.
Qualification:
•Minimum 1 year previous experience. Vocational school or apprenticeship preferred. Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements.
