We are seeking experienced Machinist/Operator The manual Machinist will set-up, run, and inspect pipe faces to specifications using a portable pipe facing machine. The Machinist is required to perform first article inspections and correct any discrepancies between part measurements and print requirements. Must be able to perform set-up and fixturing of jobs. Candidate needs to be skilled in all aspects of machining and have the ability to troubleshoot and rectify any problems and assist other trades as needed which include welding, cutting and pipe fitup.

Machinist Job Duties, Responsibilities:

Set up and operate the portable facing machine, adhering to production standards procedures, efficiencies and quality. Past experience in manual machining using a lathe or mill is preferred. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining workflow. Monitor machine performance, making necessary adjustments to maintain optimal productivity. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machines to ensure proper functioning. Collaborate closely with team members to ensure effective communication and smooth workflow maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Identify areas for process improvement and propose innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Machinist Requirements & Qualifications Needed:

Basic math and geometry knowledge with elementary knowledge of engineering principals. Ability to read blueprints, follow work order and verbal instructions. Knowledgeable of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). Machine Setup and Operator years of experience: 1 years minimum.

Physical Demands:

This position is located on an active, outdoors construction site. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
