CNC Swiss Lathe Machinist Phoenix Engineering - 3.6 Riviera Beach, FL Job Details Full-time $19 - $33 an hour 9 days ago Qualifications Blueprint specification interpretation Industrial equipment troubleshooting High school diploma or GED Mechanical troubleshooting Full Job Description About the Role As a CNC Swiss Machinist, you will play a critical role in our precision manufacturing operations by setting up and operating advanced CNC Swiss-style lathes. Your expertise will ensure that complex, high-tolerance components are produced efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities Execute complex setups and operate CNC Swiss machines to produce high-precision parts according to engineering blueprints. Perform tool changes, offsets, and machine adjustments to maintain strict dimensional tolerances throughout production runs. Conduct rigorous quality inspections using precision measuring tools to ensure all parts meet rigorous technical specifications. Perform routine preventative maintenance and keep detailed records of machine performance to maximize equipment uptime. Execute hand finishing tasks and ensure all documentation, including job routers, is completed with high accuracy. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace by adhering to 5S and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. Collaborate with the production team to identify process improvements and resolve manufacturing bottlenecks. Qualifications Required Skills High School diploma or GED equivalent. 3+ years of professional experience in CNC machining, specifically with Swiss-style lathes. Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and GD&T. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues effectively. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple machines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills Associate's degree or technical certification in Tooling & Machining. Prior experience working within a regulated production environment. Familiarity with specific Swiss lathe platforms such as Citizen, Star, or Index. Strong mathematical skills for precise measurement and data logging.
