Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Inside Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, and operating Convention Manual machining equipment to produce high-precision components. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, blueprint reading, and advanced machining techniques. The Inside Machinist plays a critical part in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing processes, utilizing a range of tools and technologies including Convention Manual lathes, milling machines, and precision measuring instruments. Candidates should possess excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Setting up and operating machine tools (lathes, mills) to fabricate, repair, or modify precision metal parts Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to ensure accurate manufacturing. Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision instruments to verify dimensions. Select appropriate tooling and fixtures; perform tooling changes efficiently to minimize downtime. Maintain detailed documentation of machining processes, adjustments, and quality checks. Adhere to safety protocols including proper use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and forklift operation when necessary. Support continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing practices and plastics injection molding processes. Experience Experience with Conventional Manual Lathes, Mills, and Drill Presses. Experience with blueprint reading. Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, assembly components, and support equipment such as forklifts. Basic math skills necessary for precise measurement calculations and process adjustments. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction in production processes. Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
