Job Description

  • We have a great opportunity for a CNC Mill Set-Up Machinist to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will be a passionate, skilled machinist who wants to utilize their skills to produce world-class machined parts for a variety of customers. The candidate will be responsible for reading and understanding the blueprint, setting up the CNC machine with tooling, running first article and production machining, making small G-Code edits, deburring parts, and doing self-inspections on parts. The applicant must be drug free. YMT currently has the following
Mills:
(3-axis) Haas
VF-4, VF-3, VF-2
(5-axis) Haas
UMC-1250, UMC 500
  • Qualifications
  • PASSION for metal machining 5+ years experience in machining and setups Proficiency in reading blueprints, understanding tolerances, and other GD&T callouts Knowledge of CNC Mills Knowledge of Haas controller Loads parts in the machine, cycles machine, and detects malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools Ability to inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, height gages, bore gages, pin gages, etc.
Ability to take part from raw stock to finished, deburred part within all tolerances Understanding of G-Code and ability to modify as required Ability to lift 50 lbs Ability to follow directions and work well in a team
